Former Hoop Richard Langley is rated 'doubtful' for Saturday's FA Cup tie at Loftus Road.

The Luton midfielder was stretchered off with a facial injury in the 0-0 draw with Cardiff on New Year's Day and is now in a race against time to be fit for the third round tie against his former club.

Langley clashed heads with Bluebirds defender Darren Purse on the hour and left the field on a stretcher before receiving three stitches.

Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Langley said: "I took a knock on the side of my head and had to have a few stitches.

"Fingers crossed I'll be okay for Saturday, but it's touch and go at this stage.

"Needless to say, I'd be gutted to miss out.''

Luton boss Mike Newell already has an extensive injury list at Kenilworth Road, with Markus Heikkinen, Sam Parkin and Lewis Emanuel all currently sidelined.

Goalkeeper Dean Kiely - on loan from Portsmouth - is unavailable, while star man Carlos Edwards yesterday (Tuesday) joined Sunderland for £1.5 million.
